O’neil Van Horn is a passionate individual striving to realize justice in and for this Earth.

O’neil finds his niche in the in-between: as a scholar, navigating between the worlds of theology, philosophy, environmental humanities, queer theory, critical race studies, and beyond; as an activist, facilitating dialogue between the academy and local justice-seeking communities; as a friend, fostering the growth of community gardens, exploring wilderness spaces, and enjoying meals with humans and other animals.

Among other things, O’neil is a Ph.D candidate in Philosophical and Theological Studies in Religion at Drew University, coordinator for Drew University’s Partnership for Religion and Education in Prisons (PREP) program, and research consultant for Stanley Congregational UCC Church in Chatham, NJ.
